Meijer, Other Retailers Launch Multiple Varieties, including Dr Pepper®-Flavored Beans

Manitowoc, Wis. (September 10, 2018) – SER!OUS BEAN CO excites consumers and retailers alike with its flavorful twists on traditional baked beans. Each flavor is crafted with the highest quality natural ingredients and the best beans from America’s Heartland. New this month, several regional chains have joined Walmart in adding the product to their shelves.

The four one-of-a-kind flavors are Dr Pepper®, Buffalo, Chipotle and Cracked Pepper. The preservative-free canned beans are an easy side dish, snack, dip, or topping ideal for tailgating, grilling, potlucks, entertaining, and on-the-go occasions with easy-to-open pull-top lids. “We don’t want people to miss out on the brilliance of canned beans. They pair well with almost every meal, but this food category needs to be more appealing, with better ingredients and flavors that push boundaries,” Taylor said.
SER!OUS Bean Co just expanded distribution of its canned baked beans in all 250 Meijer store locations and Texas-based H-E-B stores. Meijer will start a tailgating-themed promotion September 16 with special pricing of three cans for $4. SER!OUS BEAN CO baked beans have been available at 2,600 Walmart locations since April.
